I've always loved this story and the narrator does an excellent job. I'm usually not a huge fan of audio books but this one definitely deserves a listen.

Ive seen it in Movies & cartoon version but this is the first time listening to the story from a book.WELL DONE ... it was great to listen to and the reader does a great job

I had seen the old movie so many times, but never read the book. It's so much deeper and I can see making time for another listen every December. Smokestack Jones does an excellent job reading this solo Librivox project.
